Challenge YOUrself #39: Using Negative Space!

Hi everyone!
It's time for another challenge :) We hope you will all love this one:

What is negative space you might ask?  In design terms, negative space refers to an empty block of space on your page.  And in the scrapbook world, negative space doesn't just happen by chance - it is a planned part of your design!  This month we want to see your pages using negative space . . . we are looking forward to seeing what YOU create.

**Please don't forget, your page must include photos with YOU in them!**

Play along and link up a new layout below for a chance to win this awesome mixed media book:

Remember, the most important criteria:
Include a photo with YOU in it!

And take a minute to read the challenge rules, too.

Baby Elliot is growing fast! Can't wait to see him again in February. His mom took this beautiful picture of him enjoying the snow. I did use some modeling paste, Gelatos, mist and vellum, that I did cut in snow flake forms with my Silhouette Cameo.

Introducing Returning Designer Carmen Henriquez

Hello everyone!
It is time to meet another talented designer who agreed to return to our team for another term.
Look forward to seeing the awesome inspiration she will be sharing with us for the next six months.
Welcome back
Carmen Henriquez
"Hello! My name is Carmen, I was born in Brazil and live in Panama with my husband Alfredo. We have a married son who lives in Massachusetts with his wife and a newborn baby Elliot, our first grandchild. I have been scrapbooking for about 9 years, and I'm completely addict to it. About my style I can say that it's mostly clean, graphic and bright but I also love to try new techniques, love challenges and sketches! I also love to knit, cook and bake, crosshatching and appliqué. I find Pinterest an endless inspirations source!"

And for today's inspiration, Carmen has created the lovely layout below
based on this month's
"I went with up right across to down with Paint, mist, winter theme and blue color."

And here's a look at the challenge that inspired Carmen's beautiful layout:

CSI Case File No. 218 - Wandering

Case File No. 218 - Deadline: November 30

Thank you for sticking with us as we've been transitioning over to Blogger! We've got a brand-new Case File for you featuring a palette that works with all seasons and topics. And don't forget that Major Case File No. 217 is open all month too.

So, are you ready for this week's challenge? Grab your forensics kits, CSI members, and get ready for some serious sleuthing as we open Major Case File No. 218.

The leaves have been falling all month, and the trees have those last few flaming bits dangling from the branches. We're celebrating autumn with our Case Files this month. Case File No. 218 celebrates the blowing leaves. Our whimsical Scene is by French illustrator Maite Franchi.

Remember to scroll all the way down to the bottom of this reveal post for RGB codes, color descriptions, and more detailed explanations of the Evidence and Testimony prompts.

Here is my take on the challenge:

EVIDENCE: Bicycle, Animals, Glasses, Hearths, Circles, Dots
TESTIMONY: Wandering, walking around Boston and Cambridge
THE SCHEME: I did use all the 5 colors
